Organised Labour constituted by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC) and their civil society allies has issued an ultimatum to the Federal government to revert the new fuel price regime on or before 12 midnight of Tuesday, 17th May or face a nationwide shut down of the economy.

Following the widespread condemnations trailing yesterday’s announcement of the removal of fuel subsidy, the Minister of state for Petroleum Resources, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu has assured that Nigerians will be amazed at what will become of the price of Premium Motor Spirit, fuel, in the next six months.

Fayose condemns petrol price increment, says “FG insensitive to Nigerians plight"
Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has condemned the increment from N86.50 to N145 of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) otherwise known as petrol, describing it as insensitive and demonstration of the level of hatred the President Mohammadu Buhari led All Progressives Congress (APC) government had for Nigerians.

“Buhari Is Not God, We Won’t Stop Pipeline Bombing” – Niger Delta Militants
In defiance of President Muhammadu Buhari’s order for security forces to curtail militants’ violence in the South South geo political zone of the country, the Niger Delta Liberation Force (NDLF), yesterday declared that the bombing of pipelines in the Niger Delta would continue, stating that President Buhari “is not God to be feared”.
