Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki on Saturday, October 1 said the Senate will support any proposal from the executive to increase the fund slated for the amnesty programme in the 2016 Appropriation Act.

The House of Representatives yesterday suspended former chairman of the House Committee on Appropriation, Dr. Abdulmumini Jibrin, for 180 legislative sitting days, which is one calendar year.
The decision, which got the endorsement of the lawmakers without a single dissenting voice, followed the adoption of the report of the Committee on Ethics and Privileges Committee, headed by Ossai Nicholas Ossai.

A Nigerian doctor based in Canada, Dr. Adekunle Williams-Owolabi, has been banned from medical practice for six months after making sexual comments to patients at his clinic in Labrador West.
Owolabi’s licence was suspended and he was ordered to pay the sum of $75,000 towards thecosts of holding the hearing where he was found guilty of professional misconduct towards patients.
