Addressing a briefing in Ado Ekiti on Tuesday, chairman of the council, Prof. Joseph Oluwasanmi, expressed sadness on the worsening condition of government workers who have not been paid for the past five months.

Sequel to the denial of the Zenith Bank that the financial institution did not fund the election of the embattled Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State, the top most staff of the bank were seen yesterday begging the governor and even went to the level of going on their knees.

It would be recalled that Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) earlier this week frozen the personal account of the Governor in Zenith Bank due to tip-off.

When responding, Fayose said it openly that the bank financed his campaign. But the bank refuted the claim of the governor.

But yesterday evening, some bank officials of Zenith were seen kneeling down to beg the governor.
