Is President Tinubu Leading The Country In The Right Direction? |Polifocus

The ripple effects of the removal of fuel subsidy and FX unification continue to frustrate all Nigerians as prices of almost everything is off the roof.

Prez Tinubu seems not to be bothered as he keeps gallivanting across the globe. Of course, citizens can endure some pains but the leadership should lead by example.

The masses keep wallowing in abject poverty while the leaders keep wasting funds on frivolities.

In the next few days, Prez Tinubu will be a year and half in office,with little or nothing reasonable to point to.

Will Nigerians continue to look aloof?

Not less than 30 people are feared dead at a football viewing centre in Calabar, the Cross River State capital after being electrocuted by a high tension cable that reportedly fell on them.

The football fans are said to have assembled at the centre towatch a UEFA Europa League quarter-final match between Manchester United and Anderlechton satellite television.

Channels Television correspondent in Calabar reported that the live electricity cable broke from its mooring and fell on the viewers.

A witness, who said he was the first to run out of the viewing centre, told Channels Television that the victims died as a result of a contact between the live cable and the roof of the viewing centre.

Electricity authorities said it is illegal to erect any building around areas with high tension cables.
