Terrorism: Nigerian Army Parade 10 Repentant Boko Haram Terrorists |PoliFocus

The Nigerian Army has paraded ten Boko Haram terrorists that surrendered to the military following sustained military operations in the Sambisa Forest.



The suspects were of the two factional groups of Abubakar Shekau and Mamman Nur.One of the commanders from Mamman Nur faction, Joseph David, alias Ibrahim Dan Lajna, admitted being a member of the group.

He said they were misled by their spiritual commanders in the name of religion to carry out attacks on innocent Nigerians.

He advised other members of the group to surrender and give up their ignoble act as the military was ready to accept them.

The Theatre Commander of Operation Lafiya Dole, Major General Lucky Irabor, said the suspects are currently undergoing de-radicalization process.

Similarly, the Commander also confirmed the arrest of the caretaker chairman of Mafa Local Government area of Borno State for harbouring a suspected Boko Haram commander.

He said the suspect is still in their custody and investigation is on-going.General Iraboh called on the public to report any terrorist hibernating in their environment to security agents.

Radio Nigeria Correspondent reports that one thousandfour hundred Boko Haram suspects were also arrested in the on-going mop up operation in the Sambisa Forest.
