Olugbemi spoke on Ekiti FM 91.5 Radio station today, challenged Aluko to present himself for a traditional swearing to know who was saying the truth between both of them over the truce meeting.

Olugbemi said he has realised that Aluko was a professional and unrepentant blackmailer using blackmail to earn living and that only gullible minds would take anything he has said serious.

Opinion: Fayose’s Letter To Chinese Authority, Opposition Taken Too Far

Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose earlier this week wrote Chinese authority to deny President Muhammadu Buhari loan of $2 billion. In the letter that was addressed to President Xi Jinping, he stated that some of the projects for which the loan was being sought were not captured in the 2016 budget sent to President Muhammadu Buhari by the National Assembly for his assent.

It is no longer news that Governor Fayose has always been a vocal voice of the opposition, this he has been doing long before the general election, even to the point of wishing Buhari dead.

But we can't shy away from the fact that opposition must exist so as to be putting the government on its toes but if it is now used to settle personal vendetta, then it will no longer be seen as an healthy opposition.

From time immemorial, developing countries have been signing memorandum of understanding (MoU) with developed countries so as to help with the economy and infrastructural developments.

This is the line that President Buhari has followed by signing bilateral agreements with the Asian Tigers but the ignoble cum primitive letter of this governor is uncalled for and unnecessary.

We should live above all political odds and become pro-Nigeria than blind supporters of political parties. Politics shouldn't divide us, we should all believe in Nigerian project.

Where lies our patriotism if we find pleasure in drawing the hands of our country’s backwards? We should all support any developmental drive that is geared towards the betterment of our great nation.

It is high time we separated politics from policies for Nigeria to move forward.

Hold Ex-President, Jonathan For President Economic Woes - Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala

Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Minister of Finance and Co-ordinating Minister for the Nigerian Economy under immediate past president of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan, has blamed the administration under which she served as responsible for the current economic challenges being suffered by the country,  PM News reports.

She said the Jonathan’s administration lacked the political will to effectively manage the country’s resources and that this was responsible for the economic downturn of the country now governed by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Speaking on the topic: “Inequality, Growth and Resilience” at George Washington University on Thursday, Iweala compared her time with former President Olusegun Obasanjo and Jonathan and concluded that while there was a political will to save for the raining day under Obasanjo, the will was lacking under Jonathan.

During Obasanjo’s era, she said the government was able to save $22 billion and that this saved the country in 2008 during the global economic meltdown.Okonjo-Iweala, while appealing to the World Bank and IMF to encourage a saving culture among countries of the world, added: “we tried it in Nigeria, we put in an oil price based fiscal rule in 2004 and it worked very well.“We saved $22 billion because the political will to do it was there.

And when the 2008 /2009 crisis came, we were able to draw on those savings precisely to issue about a 5 percent of GDP fiscal stimulus to the economy and we never had to come to the bank or the fund.Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala“

This time around and this is the key now, you need not only need to have the instrument but you also need the political will.“In my second time as a finance minister, from 2011 to 2015, we had the instrument, we had the means, we had done it before, but zero political will.“So we were not able to save when we should have.

That is why you find that Nigeria is now in the situation it is in. Along with so many other countries.”Continuing, she urged African countries to build resilience and encourage manufacturing to boost their economy.

“I do not believe that we can be resilient, except if we can encourage manufacturing even on the goods we consume, services, entertainment industry, agriculture.“I think these are the kinds of questions that policy makers struggle with on a daily basis and that is what we are going to answer to get resilience.

“If we don’t get these mechanisms, we politicise them, find ways to transform the base of the economy and create jobs including in manufacturing, I believe we aregoing to go into this looming deceleration that is being talked about,” she added.

Must Read: Rigging Of Ekiti Gubernatorial Election Was Perfected In Hotel - Tope Aluko

Must Read: Ekiti Gubernatorial Election Was Perfected In Hotel - Tope Aluko
A former Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ekiti State, Dr. Tope Aluko, has said the plot to rig the June 21, 2014 governorship election was perfected inside a hotel barely a week before the poll.

According to Punch Newspaper, he alleged that the hotel was owned by the Chief of Staff to Fayose, Chief Dipo Anisulowo, where sensitive materials like ballot papers and result sheets were delivered to PDP chieftains by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

Besides, he claimed the Governor Ayodele Fayose’s administration had received the refund ofthe N5.2bn spent on Ado-Ifaki federal highway by former Kayode Fayemi’s administration.

The government has continued to deny receiving refund. Speaking on a special interview programme on Adaba 88. 9 FM, Akure, on Wednesday evening, Aluko claimed that the electoral materials were delivered through Akure Airport.

He claimed that INEC ballot papers were thumb-printed and result sheets filled by PDP members which gave their party the edge long before the electorate went to the polls.

Aluko explained that operatives of the Department of State Services led by a female officer stormed Anisulowo’s hotel and arrested the PDP members perfecting the rigging but that they were released within three hours following the intervention of the Federal Government.

He disclosed that a lorry conveying part of the electoral materials delivered through the Akure Airport was the one intercepted by soldiers led by the recently retired Brig.-Gen. Aliyu Momoh.

According to him, the materials were later released after the officers received an “order from above.”

The former PDP scribe alleged that the N5.2bn refund had been diverted to the Ado Ekiti flyover project following investigation conducted by the Department of State Service, the Police and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.Aluko said,

“Ask him (Fayose) why did former Commissioner for Works, Kayode Oso run away? Commissioner for Finance Toyin Ojo told  his interrogators about the finances of the state including the N5.2bn refunded on the Ado-Ifaki Road project carried out by Fayemi.“

You will recall that Fayose had earlier denied receipt of the N5.2bn refund but the revelation by Ojo while in custody now made him (Fayose) to divert the money for flyover construction because Ojo told them that Oso was in a better position to explain on the refund collected on road.”

Aluko urged Nigerians to pray for him because of alleged plans to assassinate him.

Responding to questions, Aluko said the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Owoseni Ajayi, was liable for prosecution for his alleged role in an attack on the Ekiti State High Court to prevent the delivery of a ruling on a perjury case involving Fayose.

Aluko said  “I pity Owoseni Ajayi who is saying thatI should be prosecuted because he (Owoseni) was the one who placed a call to Fayose to organise the mob to disrupt the delivery of a ruling by Justice Olusegun Ogunyemi.

“Owoseni told Fayose on the telephone that should the judge deliver the ruling on the perjury case, it would go against him (Fayose) and his planned swearing-in would be in jeopardy.”

Aluko maintained that he never asked for forgiveness from Fayose as “erroneously” reported in the media but that the governor and former Ekiti Assembly factional Speaker Dele Olugbemi barged into a meeting he was holding with some PDP leaders.

“Olugbemi and Fayose barged into the meeting venue, Olugbemi is a pathological liar.

Olugbemi had lied against Fayose, he lied against the APC, he lied against the PDP and he is working for the money and appointment he had just received from Fayose.

“I did not create a scene at the venue of the meeting because hefty men had been stationed around and my wife was afraid of what could happen.

Fayose held my clothes that I should not talk when I wanted to say something.“

I feared for my wife who later disappeared from the scene and I did not know her whereabouts.

They almost attacked me when I went to Channels Television  but it was policemen led by the CP that saved me after being held up there for about three hours.“

I played safe because of my wife and to avoid the scenario that played out when I went to Channels Television to grant my first interview.”

Aluko said his trouble with Fayose began when the governor derailed from the plan and blueprint for the development of Ekiti State and not because he was not made the Chief of Staff.

Buhari Government Has Failed For Not Bringing Back Chibok Girls - Sen. Biodun Olujimi

Buhari Government Has Failed For Not Bringing Back Chibok Girls - Sen. Biodun Olujimi
Senator Biodun Olujimi
The Senator representing Ekiti South Senatorial District, Mrs Abiodun Olujimi has stated categorically that the present Buhari-led administration is a failure.

She posited this on the ground of not be able to bring back the missing #ChibokGirls that were inhumanely kidnapped by the islamic fundamentalists, Boko Haram two years ago.

She stated this earlier today in the senate hallow chamber, when the issue of the ignoble two years anniversary of the bastardly act.

It would be recalled that securing the release of these girls was part of the electioneering promises of the All Progressives Congress (APC) prior the general elections.

It is not news that they were kidnapped during the regime of the former President, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. But my concern is that, is this distinguished Senator outburst on this issue of Chibok girls hers or that of the Ekitis that she represents?

Because her governor, Ayodele Fayose has stated it in many fora that Chibok kidnap is a ruse, unreal and meant to achieve a political goal of ousting the former President.
