PDP Suspends Borno State Chairman For Flouting Constitutional Provisions

The National Working Committee (NWC) of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Wednesday announced the suspension of the party’s Chairman in Borno, Alhaji Baba Basharu.

This is contained in a statement signed by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh, in Abuja.

The statement said that Basharu was suspended after preliminary hearing on reports of his various activities inimical to the progress of the party, especially flouting the provisions of article 58 (1), (b), (c), (f) and (h) of the PDP Constitution.

“This is in line with the relevant provisions of the PDP Constitution on disciplinary procedures.“
