Fayose Explodes Again Says Sacking Of Ishaku Is Miscarriage Of Justice

Ayo Fayose
Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State has described the tribunal verdict which removed the Taraba State Governor, Darius Ishaku of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, as a clear miscarriage of justice.
Darius Ishaku
Fayose, while reacting to the development on Saturday, said it was a conspiracy by the All Progressives Congress (APC) led federal government and a section of the judiciary against the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

He called on the Supreme Court to save the country from impending disaster.
In a statement issued by his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, the governor wondered how a tribunal could make the conduct of the PDP primary that produced Governor Ishaku in Abuja an issue when the tribunal itself sat in
Abuja.

He said: “how does the emergence of party candidate, which is the clear internal business of the party and a pre-election matter concern the APC and the Election Tribunal?

“Isn’t it funny that it is no longer about election rigging, but technicality of how PDP candidates emerged even when no one in the PDP went to court to challenge how Governor Ishaku emerged as the PDP governorship candidate?

“If insecurity could make Taraba State Tribunal sit in Abuja and not in Jalingo, how then can it be justified that the same tribunal that sat in Abuja nullified the governor’s election because the primary election that produced him too was held in Abuja?

“Is it not being manifested in this President
Muhammadu Buhari led APC government that what is good for some people may not be good for others even though we operate the same constitution?

“To me and the teeming supporters of the PDP, this judgement is one that must not be allowed to stand. It is a clear miscarriage of justice and we will seek redress from the court of men and the court of God.”

While reiterating his commitment to speaking the truth in the overall interest of Nigerians, Governor Fayose said: “If everybody is persecuted and intimidated to submission, I will remain resolute in my resolve to always say the truth before men and God.”

Abuja Tribunal Judgements, Is Our Judiciary Now A Political Wing?

The resent elections tribunal judgements from FCT, Abuja have got everyone talking, not only the political gladiators and players.

It is no longer news that Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike and his counterpart in Akwa Ibom, Udom Emmanuel were floored in their different election tribunals which were held in FCT, Abuja.

In the case of Nyesom Wike, his election was nullified outrightly but a re-run was order in 18 local government areas in Akwa Ibom.

But the news now is that the election of Taraba State Governor, Darius Ishaku of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was earlier today nullified by the election tribunal sitting in same Abuja and pronounced candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mrs Aisha Alhassan popularly known as Mama Taraba the winner of the last gubernatorial election in the state.

On the ground that, governor Darius Ishaku was not properly nominated by his party, PDP.
That she (Mama Taraba) should be sworn in as governor of the state.

In the mean time, the incumbent governor, Darius Ishaku has made his intention known that he will challenge the judgment at the appellate court. As we all know that matters relating to gubernatorial election ends at the Appeal Court.

Before now, the main opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been accusing the All Progressives Congress (APC) led government of being mischievous by interfering with the judicial arm of government.

One may tend to believe in the claim of PDP in this regard. Some pertinent questions are to be asked:
1. Were the election tribunals shifted to Abuja due to security challenge truly?
3. Was their any sinister motive for relocating these election tribunals?

Three election tribunal judgements all from Abuja, favouring the ruling party All Progressives Congress (APC) may be seen as orchestrated plan of the ruling party to decimate the main opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party.

In Politics, one plus one cannot produce two always.

Taraba Guber: Tribunal Ruling, Product Of Presidency Manipulation, Says PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has described Saturday’s judgment of the Taraba state gubernatorial election tribunal in favour of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Hajia Aisha Jummai Alhassan, as a product of Presidency manipulation.

The party said the reason given by the tribunal for arriving at the bizarre decision is intriguing and further exposes the contradictions and double standards inherent in most tribunal rulings against PDP interests recently.

PDP National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh, said in a statement on Saturday that the Taraba state tribunal ruling again brings to the fore the organised plan by the President Muhammadu Buhari-led APC Federal Government to deploy all unorthodox means to
decimate the opposition.

“It is rather curious and a great conflict of irony that the Taraba tribunal sitting in Abuja on security ground faulted the conduct of PDP primaries shifted to the same Abuja on security reasons”, the party stressed.

The PDP said if the tribunal is faulting the party
primaries as basis for its decision, it then means that no APC gubernatorial candidate can stand the test, as their party never had acceptable primaries in any of their states.

The PDP wants democracy watchers globally to recall that it had earlier alerted the nation and the international community of the grand design by the APC to use the judiciary to wrestle some PDP states, particularly Rivers, Akwa Ibom and Taraba states.

“Evidence that Taraba ruling was a product of
Presidency manipulation can be deduced from the fact that few hours before the judgment was delivered, the APC had arrogantly announced their victory on the new media”, it said.

PDP said it is totally confounded by the brazing show of power by the executive and warned that the development clearly portends grave danger to our democracy and indeed national cohesion and development.

Finally the party calls on its members across the
country, especially in Taraba state to remain updated as the appellate courts will restore its well-deserved victory.

Election tribunal removes Taraba governor, declares Aisha Alhassan winner

Aisha Alhassan
The Taraba State Governorship Election Tribunal sitting in Abuja has removed Taraba governor , Darius Ishaku of the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP ) and has declared Alhaja Aisha Alhassan of All Progressives Congress (APC) winner of April 11 , 2015 governorship election.

Alhassan who appointed minister by President
Muhammadu Buhari and confirmed by the senate contested her loss at the governorship election after early reports had indicated that she was in the lead and poised to win the election.

Prior the judgment , the courtroom was filled with lawyers and supporters of the two parties as well as journalists.
Also present in court was Taraba State Deputy Governor, Mr Haruna Manu and Alhassan,  a minister designate.

The tribunal Chairman, Justice Musa Abubakar , had on October 7 reserved judgment indefinitely after hearing the final submissions of the counsel.

In his final address, the lead counsel to the petitioners , Mr Mahmoud Magaji (SAN ), asked the tribunal to return Mrs Alhassan as the duly elected governor of Taraba State.

The Counsel to the governor, Mr Kanu Agabi (SAN ) prayed the court to dismiss the petition, describing it as lacking in merit .
Justice Abubakar ruled that Ishaku of the PDP was not qualified to contest for the April 11 governorship election because he was not properly nominated to contest on the platform of the party.

The tribunal added that the PDP failed to conduct primary for Taraba State governorship election in line with Section 177 of Nigeria ’ s Constitution

GOODNEWS: Buhari has saved Nigeria N1.4trn – APC

Nigeria’s ruling political party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, on Friday said the country’s President, Muhammadu Buhari, has saved the country a whooping N1.4 trillion as at September owing to his moves to plug all loopholes in the system.

The party further said the administration is embarking on a massive infrastructure renewal programme in the areas of roads, rail and power and that for this purpose, a $2.5 billion Infrastructure Fund is being put in place.

“Contrary to the disinformation being peddled by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, the Buhari administration is poised to lift millions of Nigerians out of extreme poverty by providing social protection and safety nets with another N2.5 trillion Special Intervention Fund,” the APC said as response to an attack by the opposition PDP following the shut-down, by the Senate, of a motion seeking to implement the promised N5,000 to vulnerable Nigerians.

The APC assured Nigerians that the government would not renege on its campaign promise to pay the N5,000 each monthly to 25 million most vulnerable Nigerians, while calling on the citizens to ignore the mischievous attempt by the PDP to confuse and mislead them on this issue.

In a statement issued in Abuja by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party said even though the PDP-led Federal Government plundered the common wealth in its time, it (APC) has decided creative means not only to pay the money but also to fulfill its other campaign promises to Nigerians.

It said the non-implementation of the payment policy so far is due to the fact that it was not included in the 2015 budget, which was prepared by the PDP-led Jonathan Administration, and also because of the need to first block all financial leakages.

“Now, the Buhari administration has been busy putting into place measures that will make it possible to start the implementation of this project. Such measures include the introduction of the Treasury Single Account (TSA).

“We are happy to inform Nigerians that as at the end of September 2015, over N1.4 trillion – which hitherto was lying unproductively in various commercial banks – has been recovered and paid into the TSA,” APC said.

The party said that in its usual jumpy and superficial approach to issues, the irresponsible opposition has already rushed to judgement on the issue without bothering to hear from the APC, which made the promise in the first instance.

“Had the PDP not sacrificed the truth on the altar of political expediency, it would have realized that the APC never at any time indicated it has reneged on its promise to pay N5,000 monthly to 25 million most vulnerable Nigerians.

“In our press statement of 30 August, 2015, we still reiterated our plan to redeem our campaign promises, including the social security payment policy, despite the primitive looting of the treasury under the watch of the PDP.

“It is therefore astonishing that the same PDP, which is becoming more and more infamous for its penchant for peddling half truths and sensationalizing every issue, will rush to the press to celebrate the figment of its imagination that the APC will not fulfill its campaign promise regarding the payment,” it said.

RIGHT STEP: Buhari Bans Large Convoys, Aides, Protocol Staff For Ministers

President Muhammadu Buhari has banned large convoys, retinue of aides, protocol staff for the incoming ministers as revealed by, a minister-designate, Dr. Chris Ngige.

He said this to State House correspondents at the
conclusion of a two-day ministerial retreat organised by the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.

The theme of the retreat, which was held at the Old Banquet Hall of the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja, was ‘Delivering Change: From Precepts to Practice.’

Buhari had, while declaring the retreat open on Thursday, told the ministers-designate that his administration would make the running of government as lean as possible by avoiding waste and conserving resources.

The president, who had also stressed the need to observe the rule of law and remove impunity from government conduct, told the ministers-designate that he expected them to be more determined to work as a team and live up to the
high standards of probity and integrity expected by Nigerians.

“You (ministers-designate) are coming on board the ship of governance at an interesting time. So much has been said about the state of our economy. It is expected that we make
the running of government at all levels as lean as possible, avoid waste and conserve resources. As ministers, you must be the vehicle that will administer the change,” Buhari said.

Fielding questions from journalists, Ngige, the minister-designate from Anambra State, corroborated the president’s position that the economy was lean and that leakages were going to be blocked.

“Yes, lean economy because we are going to block areas of leakages. Retinue of aides, protocol staff, large convoys of cars are things that will not fly in this administration”, the
former Anambra state governorsaid.

The two-day ministerial retreat was held behind closed doors and it ended without a communiqué issued.

On The N5,000 That APC Promised To Paying Monthly

I write to add my voice to the trending issue at the moment #Our5k. It will recalled that the All Progressives Congress (APC), during electioneering made a promise of paying a stipend of N5,000 to all unemployed Nigerians.

This issue divided the senate earlier this week, as the members elected under the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and their counterparts from Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) engaged one another.

The motion which was sponsored by Sen. Philip Aduda (FCT) was turned down by a massive shout of 'no, no' in the hallow chamber.
It took the intervention of the Senate President, Bukola Saraki for calm to restore among the senators.

While addressing them, Bukola Saraki urged them not to be playing politics with everything, most especially the issue of unemployment in the country.

I think our senators elected under the platform of PDP should stop this political hatred and put the interest of the Nation ahead of party. Their criticism should be constructive.

It is my believe that some underground logistics work must be done before the payment, we should still give President Muhammadu Buhari more time, it will be recalled that President Buhari Has said it in many fora that Nigeria cannot afford the salaries of 36 ministers, due to how the country was grounded financially  by the immediate past government of Goodluck Jonathan.

In a swift reaction, the ruling party All Progressives Congress (APC) has reiterated its stand as to the the payment of the monthly stipend and that PDP will be disgraced.

Nigeria's interest should be Supreme....  We are watching.

15 best antivirus Android Applications And Anti-malware Android Applications For 2015 According To Android Authority

The world most especially Nigerians are now placing premium on Android devices against other devices due to the fact that Android devices are cheap to a level when you compared them to other smartphones and also their standby time (long lasting batteries).

There is need to protect the phones from virus attacks, this neccesitated this post. The list is arranged on order of the antivirus efficiency.

1. 360 Security Antivirus

Advantages:
Scans and deletes threats and keeps an eye out for others with features like privacy adviser.
Has functionality to clean devices from old files
left behind by apps, corrupted files, and other trash that should be gone.

Built in data monitor for those who need that.
Helps users avoid WebView vulnerability by
recommending Google Chrome to people who still use the old browser (Android 4.0-4.3).

First up is 360 Mobile Security. This full featured and free application does pretty much everything you’d expect in an
antivirus Android app. It scans and removes threats, cleans your device, and some additional
stuff like a privacy adviser and data monitor. It’s highly rated with a 4.5 rating in the Play Store.

Disadvantages:
It could use some anti-theft features like some of these other apps.

2. AndroHelm Anti-Virus

Advantages:
Lots of payment options and free is one of them.
Antivirus and anti-malware features include
scanning, real time tracking, and removal.
Anti-theft such as locking the phone and remote
location tracking.

The paid version apparently re-installed itself if it's deleted to protect against thieves. That's a new one. It monitors network.

Disadvantages:
Most expensive license is $100 bucks. We don't
imagine many people will like that. Some paid features like call blocking are provided for free in other apps.

If nothing else can be said about this application, it’s can be said that they re flexible with how much you pay. The free version comes with a lot of features including antivirus, anti-malware, and anti-theft services.
You can pay for a subscription monthly, yearly, or a single lifetime license if you prefer.

3. TrustGo Antivirus & Mobile Security

Advantages:
Includes your standard antivirus and anti-malware scanning features.
Secure web browsing features are included.
Data backup and device location services are also included. Candid Camera Theif ID is pretty much what it sounds like. Take a picture of those theives!

Disadvantages:
You may have problems uninstalling this one
because of the security features. It's doable but
tedious. TrustGo’s Antivirus & Mobile security is
another totally free Android antivirus option that is worth a look.

This one takes a more simplistic approach as it doesn't offer too many extended features like other apps. You get antivirus and anti-malware protection as well as browsing protection and some other security features along with anti-theft and backup features.

4. AVAST Mobile Security

Advantages:
Has more features in the paid version than some
totally free apps on this list. Undercuts its competition in terms of pricing by about 50% per year.
It put the pricing information in the Google Play
Store description. Has features for root users including firewall services.

Disadvantages:
Probably won't work well on older or low spec
devices. The real time protection is a tad overzealous sometimes.

5. AVG AntiVirus Security

Advantages:
The free version comes with the basics like antivirus, anti-phishing, and anti-malware.
With over 100 million installs and a 4.4 rating,
sometimes you can trust the public on what apps
are good.

The paid version comes with a host of unique and advanced features like app backup, app locks, and SIM locking.
Anti-theft features are in both free and paid
versions. The list of features is too long for this pros list.

Disadvantages:
Most secure browsing features are locked to the
stock Android browser that most people don't use. This is not for people who dig simplicity, it is a security suite.

6. Bitdefender Antivirus Free

Advantages:
Very simple. Just install, run the scan, remove the crap, and the app sits and waits for more threats.
Antivirus, anti-malware, and anti-phishing.
Very light so it's great for older devices and that
also means a shorter permissions list.

Disadvantages:
If you need more features and more protection,
look elsewhere. Even though Bitdefender has a full-featured antivirus app, we actually liked
this one better. It’s wildly simple to use.

Here’s how it works. You install it, scan for stuff, remove threats, and then it sits there and waits
for bad stuff to try to come to you. That’s it. No
ridiculous features and no nonsense. It’s also free. If you want to keep the Bitdefender name but move on to paid antivirus support, check out BitDefender Mobile Security .

7. CM Security

Advantages:
Antivirus, anti-malware, and safe browsing features baked in. Anti-theft functionality includes Google Maps integration, picture taking support, and scream mode.
Currently boasts a 100% detection rate. Light on system resources makes it good for older devices.

Disadvantages:
CM Security is a newer Android antivirus
app that’s hit the market and so far It’s wildly popular and very highly rated. The app brings antivirus, anti-malware, and find-my-phone functionality in a totally free package that people seem to really enjoy. It has a lot of features and they’re generally ones you’d have to pay for in other apps.

8. Dr Web Anti-virus

Advantages:
Free version includes antivirus, anti-malware, and device protection including a service that lets you know when something is accessing your device storage.

Paid version includes anti-theft, anti-spam, and
cloud checker services. Smaller virus definition updates for those on limited data plans.
Low system resources required makes it good for older devices.

Disadvantages:
$75 is a big expensive even if it is for a lifetime
license. If you're looking for advanced features, prepare to pay for them.

It’s one of the more expensive options on this list, but Dr Web antivirus doesn't operate on a subscription service so that’s a big plus over the long haul. With the free version you get basic antivirus and anti-malware protection along with basic device protection. It’s definitely worth checking out. If you want anti-spam, anti-theft, and a cloud checker service, you’ll need the full
version.

9. Eset Mobile Security & Antivirus

Advantages:
Boasts a 99.7% detection rate. Auto-scan new files as you download them.
Tablet interface which is something a surprisingly few number of these apps have.

Premium features include call/SMS blocking,
advanced anti-theft features, and even a training
course on mobile security.

Disadvantages:
The free version is extremely basic. You're either
going all in with this one or you'll probably look for something else. KitKat permissions issue prevents SMS blocking from working.

Automatic virus definition updates are premium
only.
Eset is the maker of the popular Nod32 series of antivirus apps on desktop which are both highly rated and very popular.
They have taken the opportunity to make their subscriptions per year only instead of per month and their prices are actually fairly decent. The free version is a little bottlenecked but the premium version is among the best out there.

10. Kaspersky Internet Security

Advantages:
Free version is pretty basic but offers the essential antivirus and security features.
Anti-theft features available in the free version.
Paid version enables cloud protection and anti-
phishing.

Disadvantages:
Real-time protection is a paid feature for some
reason. SMS bug in KitKat prevents the stock messaging app from receiving texts.
Poor performance on older or midrange devices.
You must create a Kaspersky account in order to
even open the app the first time.

Kaspersky has made it to the Android platform and thus onto this list. They’re one of the most popular and trusted antivirus companies out there and that rings true on mobile as well.

Like most it has a scaled down free app with a premium option available as a year's subscription. The free version is pretty good and the premium features are also pretty good.

11. Malwarebytes Anti-Malware

Advantages:
Much like its PC counterpart, this app is lightweight and focuses only on stopping or removing malware.
Also scans for apps that may be abusing their
permissions, such as location or other personal
information. It's totally free.

Recognizes that Android Device Manager exists as a reason for not having anti-theft. We like smart people who say smart things. The app also
integrates directly into Android Device Manager.
Whitelist approved apps for customized security.

Disadvantages:

There have been a few hiccups here and there that expect will get fixed.
Some of the features may be a tad overzealous
sometimes which may be annoying.

The famous (and free) PC anti-malware tool made its way onto Android back in late 2013. Despite some early hiccups, the general consensus about Malwarebytes is that it’s a positive force in Android security. This app focuses more on removing threats and preventing them.
The developers have also significantly decreased bloat over its competitors. If you need something simple and free, this is a good option.

12. McAfee Free Antivirus & Security

Advantages:
There are a lot of features and most of them are
available for free.
App will literally lock down your phone if thieves attempt to uninstall it. But don't forget your PIN. Anti-theft, antivirus, anti-malware, web surfing protection, call blocking, and app locking available.

Disadvantages:

I'm not entirely sure why there's a paid version.
It's very clunky. If you need something slim then
this is not it.
While the security is top notch, activating all that security is a pain in the rear end.

McAfee is another trusted name in the
antivirus world although we’ve had reports that soon this will be changed to Inter Antivirus & Security so be sure to keep an eye out for that.

They recently revamped their payment
structure to where you get most of the app features for free including antivirus, privacy guarding, anti-theft, and device security for free. We liked that a lot. You can still pay for some extra features if you so choose using their subscription service.

13. Norton Security & Antivirus

Advantages:
Plenty of advanced features like app locking,
privacy guard, anti-theft, and antivirus. Has some other unique features like contact syncing and a central website to manage all devices.
Free version at least lets you scan and remove
threats to your system.

Disadvantages:
Free version is severely limited. You're either
buying this app or you're using something else.
Uninistalling the full version takes some effort and is tedious.

14. Wolfguard Mobile Security Antivirus

Pretty basic feature set but includes antivirus, anti-malware, and anti-phishin protection.
Anti-theft features are included.
Has a couple of unique features like the ability to scan links in text messages for malicious intent. Free, ad supported.

Disdvantages:
Developers haven't updated since September of
2013 which isn't a good sign.
It says there's a Pro version but we couldn't find it anywhere.

Wolfguard Mobile Security Antivirus is the
last fully free antivirus on our list. It features a relatively short list of features but its simplicity is also probably one of its strengths. It’s ad supported which may annoy some but developers have to make money somehow right.

15. Antivirus Wrap-up

Antivirus apps are truly one of the most Controversial genres in all of Android. With all the stock protection, getting malware is all but impossible so many pundits will say that you don’t even need one of these. Even Though that is true, there are people who feel safer with third party protection and don’t mind paying for it.

Secondary School Student Arrested For Killing A Prefect Who Punished Him For Being Late To School In Lagos

A 19 year old student of Gaskia College, Amukoko, Lagos, Saka Hammed, who allegedly stabbed the school's Labour prefect, Saheed Jimoh, to death on Wednesday for punishing him over being late to school, has been arrested by police.
Saka Hammed
He was allegedly arrested by policemen attached to Amukoko Division, sometime around 6.40p.m.
yesterday.

According to Vanguard, when they visited Gaskia College yesterday, normal school activities had resumed as students were seen in their respective classes receiving lectures.

Officials from the office of Educational Quality Assurance, Zone 14, were also seen in the school, compiling reports of the incident.

A man who identified himself as the Vice Principal said he couldn't talk to reporters.
However, a student, who spoke on condition of
anonymity, said:

“There are several cult factions in the school. It is an open secret that many students are involved in cult-related activities and the use of charms.

“One of the common charms used by some of the
students is called 'no touch blood', which is a very poisonous charm that kills instantly when it comes in contact with blood".

Another senior student of the school revealed that that Hammed only resumed for the term on Monday. He said Hammed had failed woefully and was supposed to repeat SSS 2.

He said he used to be in the same
class as the deceased when they were in SS2 but the deaceased passed and was promoted to SSS3. But he stopped coming to school.

He said:
“Perhaps, in the case of Saheed, his killer could have tried to test the potency of the charm.”
“On Monday, his father brought him to school to see the principal. Only for the incident to occur on Wednesday.”

I Won’t Watch Chelsea’s Match Against Stoke – Jose Mourinho

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has disclosed he may not watch the match against Stoke City after he rejected a chance to appeal his one-game stadium ban.
Jose Mourinho

He said in an interview with reporters on Friday he will be travelling with the team to the Britannia stadium but will then leave the players in the hands of his assistants.

The Portuguese said that he hasn’t made up his mind where to watch the match.
“I have no plans, maybe I sit in street corner with my iPad, I don’t know,” he said.

“If I cannot contact with the game
maybe I don’t even watch the game. I can’t contact with the game so what’s the point? Live score, results, maybe.”

He also denied assertions that Chelsea will be seeking revenge against Stoke, a team that knocked the blues out of the League Cup on penalties in October.

“Revenge for what? What’s the problem? Why? We played a good game, people were nice to us, our supporters were fantastic, no problems between supporters, a great football match, a good referee, a good show for everyone.

“One team scores one more penalty, one team left happy, one team left unhappy, everything was normal, revenge for what?” he noted.

Mourinho is serving a one-match stadium ban for confronting referee Jonathan Moss in Chelsea’s defeat by West Ham last month.

The Blues are stuck to the 15th spot on the league table after 11 games with 11 points, and will be looking to improve their fortunes in the game against 13th-place Stoke City.

Nyesom Wike's Media Aide Resigns, Says He Doesn't Listen To Professional Advice

Wike's Media Aide Resigns, Blasts Governor
Nyesom Wike

After a week of disagreement between Governor
Nyesom Wike and , his special adviser, media and publicity, over the comment made against the Supreme Court and the Governorship election tribunal, Opunabo Inko-Tariah has resigned his appointment.

Governor Wike was miffed over the comment by Inko-Tariah, who described the dismissal of the Governor’s appeal by the Supreme Court on the relocation of election tribunal to Abuja and the nullification of his election as ” judicial gang up” and “Judicial terrorism.”

In his letter of resignation made available to journalists today, November 6, Inko-Tariah accused his boss of starving him of funds and stubbornness in heading professional media advice.

He stated that he has been under intense pressure performing his duties, adding that for five months, he operated as the media aide to the governor without funds.

He however thanked the governor for giving him the opportunity to serve in his government.
Inko-Tariah, who is a trained journalist and publisher of HardTruth, a Port Harcourt based tabloid was an ally of immediate past governor, Chibuike Amaechi, before joining the political camp of Governor Wike.

He was the secretary to the media and publicity
committee of Wike campaign team before his
appointment. He was  also a virulent critic of former Governor Amaechi and and the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Ironically, in a swift reaction, the APC in Rivers state, in a statement issued by Chris Finebone, its publicity secretary, hailed Inko-Tariah’s action as courageous for finally deciding to dump Wike and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) government.

The party called on all well meaning Rivers people to dump the Wike’s government as the party opined that the governor never prepared to govern the state but to propagate personal agenda.

It will be recalled that the election petition tribunal sitting in Abuja and headed by Justice Suleiman Ambrosa on Saturday, October 24 nullified the April 11, 2015 election that produced Wike as governor of Rivers State.

Wike, had in a notice of appeal dated November 3, and filed by his lawyer, Emmanuel Ukala (SAN), asked the Court of Appeal in Abuja to set aside the judgment of the tribunal which nullified the April 11, 2015 governorship election.

In reaction, the APC in Rivers state said it is not
bothered about Wike’s decision to appeal the ruling of the tribunal and it was ready to meet the PDP in court.

10 Reasons Why You Should Stop Giving Your Phone To A Stranger Or Someone You Can't Vouch For |PoliFocus

As we all know that privacy the most important thing in life, ranging from personal to corporate.

Privacy issues or loopholes as to how you are using your phone may be catastophic if not properly handled.

I decided to arrange this post so as to consentize the venerables and freestyler.
Reasons why you should be more careful in the handling of your phones:

1. Unathorized access to BVN:

Presently telecommunication companies  in Nigeria has come up with an easy way of accessing one's Bank Verification Number (BVN) by dialing *565*0#.
This step is a right direction because it brings about flexibility and ease but the purpose of this lofty idea may be grievous if unauthorized person dial this USSD code, this will definitely reveal the BVN to the person, which in turn can use it for dubious act.

2. Credit Borrowing:

Someone can use your phone to borrow credit or airtime without your knowledge. I have heard some friends complaining of such, the issues were the revealed to them by the customer care agents that they borrowed airtime, but the fact is that they actually didn't but was performed by a fast finger parading as friends.

3. Transfer of Credit or Data Bundles:

Though this involves usage of PINs or password, but some people can still go extra mile by guessing your PINs, if you are using simple PIN, like your year of birth.

4. Unathourized access to your files:

Some files like your phone book contacts, business details, memo, nasty picture(s) or videos if you have any, cheque details, Western union or Money gram, among other sensitive information should not get into wrong hands.

5. Data or Application lose:

Some people may not be familiar with your mobile phone's Operating System (OS), instead of asking questions on how to navigate it, then will be using trial and error policy.
And in the process, some of your valuable data cum information may be deleted....  You know what that means. I was once a victim of such

6. Physical Damage:

There is a yoruba aphorism that states that, no one can take care of a child like her mother (ta lo pon omo ni olomo ko wa wi). This implies adequate care that your phone needed may not be gotten from the person.
That may lead to misuse of phone and this may bring about physical damage, for instance, if fell on the floor, the mouth piece, speaker, charging Port, etc may be affected.
It can as well fall inside liquids.

7. Answering of your calls:

Some people are yet to come to terms that mobile phone is a personal stuff. Some people are so primitive to the extent of picking someone else's call without authorisation. Sensitive information that involves the owner of the form may be gotten by them and this may have multiplier effects on the phone owner. Not every information is meant for third party.

8. Loss of phone components:

This is a common phenomenon, some phone's batteries and other hardware components have be lost to this. If the person knows that yours is better, he/she may decide to play smart by changing some of these hardwares, most especially, someone with idea in phone repairing.

9. Change of Settings:

This is also common, some will be playing with your and in the process change some settings, for instance your display picture(DP), wall paper, templates, just to mention but few.
Phone is meant to suit the interest of the owner, not a friend or supposed friend of the owner.

10. Illegitimate transaction:

Your phone may be used to hack your account or others people’s account. We now have our mobile banking applications installed on our phones, this makes our bank accounts suceptible to fraud by fast fingers.
But if it involves other people’s account or shaddy online transactions, you are still the cuprit because, all the transactions will have your phone unique  internet protocol (IP) address.

What to do:

1. Password protection:

This should be the first thing to be done immediately you acquire a new phone. It means that you are personalising your device.  Usage of weak password like your year of birth, 1111, 1234, 0000, among others should be discouraged.
Use a unique PIN and if possible, make if long so that it will not be easy to guess or hack.

2. Encryption:

This involves coding your phone so that unauthorised user will not be able to use it.  This uses mathematical schemes and algorithms to sramble data in unreadable text.

3. Personal monitoring:

You as a phone owner should try your best in  unsuring that your phone doesn't get into the wrong hands. So the onus lies on you.

4. Phone Repairing:

If you phone is having one issue or another, you make delete some sensitive information before taking it to a phone engineer. But please ensure that you backup your stuffs before doing that.
This happened to one of my lecturers back in school then, he gave his laptop to an engineer and and the end of the day, virtually all his results were upgraded but discovered the foul play because the so-called upgrading was abused.

5. Charging:

You should be mindful of where you charge your mobile phones, it is better for your battery to be flat that for you to lose your information to the wrong hands or even lose the phone to a thief.

Your mobile phone is an integral part of you, so guard it jealously. Carelessness of five (5) can cost you millions.
So be guarded.

If this is beneficial, why don't you share it with your friends.

CCT Trial: Bukola Saraki’s Lawyers Withdraw From Case At Tribunal

Mr Mahmud Magaji (SAN) and Ahmed Raji (SAN) on Thursday withdrew their services as lawyers representing the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, at the Code of Conduct Tribunal.

The lawyers openly announced their withdrawal
following their perceived dissatisfaction with the ruling of the tribunal on their application for stay of proceedings.

They said that they were displeased with the decision of the tribunal refusing their application to stay proceedings in the trial pending the determination of an appeal they filed before the Supreme Court.

Saraki, who is standing trial in the tribunal on
allegations of false asset declaration, had appealed to the Supreme Court seeking to stop the trial.
His lawyers had applied to the tribunal to stay
proceedings in the trial pending the decision of the apex court.

In its ruling, the tribunal, presided over by Justice Danladi Umar upheld the argument of the prosecution that staying proceedings would hamper speedy trial.

Umar held that if the tribunal continued with the trial while the appeal is going on before the apex court, the respondent would suffer no injury.

Besides, the judge declared that the Court of Appeal had dismissed the same application which they appealed before the apex court.

Reacting to the decision of the tribunal before
withdrawing their representation, the lawyers described the ruling as “travesty of justice.’’

Magaji said, “this is judicial rascality and I cannot be part of this process. I therefore withdraw my representation as the respondent’s counsel.’’
Speaking in same vein, Raji said, “we have pending application before the Supreme Court.

END TIME: Kenyan-based Nigerian Pastor Says He Delivers Women By Sucking Their Br*asts

A Kenyan-based Nigerian pastor, who goes by the name, Pastor Chijioke, has admitted that he ‘delivers’ women by sucking their bre*sts.

A radio station based in Nakuru, Kenya, 99.0 FM Hero Radio, revealed this via an audio recording where the supposed pastor claimed he sucks women’s bre*sts while giving them ‘deliverance’ in his church.
JoyceVobis
The On Air Presenter, OAP, Joyce Vobis, called the pastor’s mobile phone using a fake name, Nancy, to ask for spiritual guidance and counselling when he revealed quite a lot on air and didn’t realise he was being recorded.

Chijioke said that the name of his church is ‘Bre*st and Honey Harvest Church’, adding that he relocated from Nigeria to answer the ‘call of the lord’ in Kenya.

According to him, the choice of the name of the church is because ‘the spirit lies in the bre*st of a lady; the more you suck the bre*st the more you get the fulfilling of the Lord.’

In the phone conversation, the OAP told the Pastor her problem was that she can’t seem to get married. Every time she starts dating, when things get serious between them and they start talking about marriage, the men run away.

The pastor then told her that she had the spirit of rejection and he had to suck it out from her bre*sts in order to get her delivered.
Pastor Chijioke

The pastor told the OAP to come to his church by
4.00pm so he could suck out the spirit of rejection from her breast so she can be delivered from the bad spirit.

Pastor Chijioke also revealed that his church members were all women, no men. The women are told not to wear bras to make sucking their breasts much easier.

The OAP then asked the pastor if he can tell her where in the bible it says that a pastor must suck a woman’s bre*sts to heal her. The pastor refuses to answer.

He said, “Don’t bring up the bible, you just come, we do this thing and then we finish.”
As the call continues, the presenter tells him her real name and that the phone call was a prank and that he is live on air.
The pastor replies with ‘ewo’.

Knowing that he had been played, the defensive pastor denied the name (Chijioke) which he had earlier claimed and says she should call him a man of God instead.

Chijioke went further to insult the AOP, as according to him, she just called ‘because she had heard women saying that he sucks bre*sts nicely.’

The conversation allegedly ended when the pastor said he would not stand by and let the woman ‘threaten’ him.

Hmmmmmmm....  End time pastor?

FIFA U-17 W/Cup: Eaglets Crush Mexico To Set-Up All African Final With Mali

Defending champion,  Nigeria on Thursday reached their second consecutive final of the FIFA U-17 World Cup with a thrilling 4-2 victory against Mexico in Concepcion to set-up final with West Africa neighbours, Mali on Sunday.
Eaglets celebrating one of their goals

Mexico took a deserved early lead through Kevin Magana but Coach Emmanuel Amuneke’s
boys hit back courtesy Captain Kelechi Nwakali
from a well-taken free-kick and an unstoppable
strike from Orji Okonkwo for a 2-1 halftime
lead.

The Nigerian side however started the second
half poorly and was soon pegged back after
Mexico’s right-back Diego Cortes scored
arguably the goal of the tournament as he
dribbled his way through the Nigerian half on
the hour mark before calmly slotting home.

Christian Ebere restored Nigeria’s advantage
seven minutes later before tournament’s
topscorer Victor Osimhen scored from the
penalty spot to secure his team’s place in the
final and also take his tally to nine goals to put
him alongside U-17 World Cup record goal-
scorers Florent Sinama-Pongolle (2001) and
Souleymane Coulibaly(2011).

Nigeria were undeterred by Cortes’s golazo and
struck back. Ebere found space on the Nigerian
right just inside the Mexican penalty area after
a long through ball. His right-footed effort was
too strong for Romero, who got a hand to the
strike but could not keep it out.

John Lazarus was taken down in the Mexican
penalty area, giving Osimhen the chance to
score his ninth goal of Chile 2015 and go level
at the top of the all-time U-17 World Cup
goalscoring charts. He slotted home with ease,
adding gloss to the Golden Eaglets victory.

Nigeria head to Vina Del Mar on Sunday for an
all-African final against continental champions
Mali while Mexico will face off against Belgium
in the match for third place earlier the same
day.

Semi-final Results
1. Belgium 1-3 Mali
2. Nigeria 4-2 Mexico

3rd Place Match
Belgium vs. Mexico

Nigeria vs. Mali

Congratulations to our boys

Traders Rush To Leave Oja-Oba Market Before Demolition On The Order Of Fayose

Following Governor Ayo Fayose public announcement about the demolition of the Erekesan market in Ado-Ekiti, around 2,000 traders rushed to meet the deadline.

The demolition of the popular market also known as Oja-Oba or King’s market is planned on November 8.

The market, located directly opposite the palace of the traditional ruler in Ado-Ekiti, will be replaced with a modern one.

In a state broadcast on Tuesday night Governor Ayo Fayose declared that there’s no way that the demolition will be cancelled.

Moreover, the governor had already paid compensation to the traders, asking them to relocate to the market at Awedele area or prepare for forceful eviction.

Meanwhile, the shop owners are leaving their
workplaces and will continue their trade at a temporary market situated about a thousand metres away from the old one.

Ore mekunu (friend of the masses) truly at work....  Governance is to provide succur to the problems of the citizenry not adding to there problems.

Bukola Saraki’s Closure Of The Senate For Code Of Conduct Tribunal Trial

It is no longer news that the incumbent Senate President of Nigeria, Bukola Saraki is facing trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) over false declaration of assets.
Bukola Saraki in the accused box
Though it is a claim in some quarters that he is being persecuted due to the role he played as to his emergence as the senate president.

It will be recalled that he, Bukola Saraki disobeyed his Party's order, All Progressives Congress (APC) as to its decision on who to be fielded as the number one person in the hallow chamber during their inauguration (8th Assembly).
The rest of what happened on that day is now history.

Initially, Bukola Saraki decided not to show up at the first sitting of the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) on his trial but latter said that he did that due to the professional counsel that he received from his legal team.

He approached the Appeal Court to stop Code of Conduct Tribunal's (CCT) proceedings but he case was thrown out for lack of merit. But has headed to the Supreme Court now on same issue.

But the resent development is disturbing, moving virtually all the senators to his trial should be condemned by all.
Though people like me will not be surprised at that, because Senator Dino Melaye has acted as a body to the wife of Bukola Saraki when she was invited by the Economic And Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)....  Chuckles

The most annoying part is that the Senate is always under lock whenever he, Bukola Saraki is scheduled to appear at the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT).

The unwarranted postponement of former governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi was tied to this apron string, today is no difference.

This should be stopped, one man should not hold all the country into ransom. The interest of Nigeria should be Supreme, though the world is still anxiously waiting for the reaction of President Muhammadu Buhari as to this, because he was elected on the platter of integrity and probity.

Most of our senators now represent their pockets and immediate family, instead of the people that vote them there. A motion should have being raised by now to stop Bukola Saraki from presiding on the planery because he who must call for probity must come with a clean hands.

Shutting down of the senate for Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) trial is totally unacceptable and ignoble.
This impunity must stop!

Six Kwara varsity lecturers suspended

Authorities of the Kwara State University, Malete on Wednesday suspended six lecturers of the institution over alleged acts of gross misconduct.

A statement by the institution’s Director of Public Relations, Dr. Isiaka Aliagan, said the suspension
followed a report that the lecturers harassed the Chief Security Officer of the university while performing his lawful duty.

The statement said that the gross misconduct took place on October 27 on the campus at Malete.
It said the lecturers held a meeting in the Visual and Performing Arts Open Theatre of the institution without permission and harassed the official when ordered to vacate the place.

According to the statement, using the theatre without permission and harassing an officer of the university while performing his lawful duty were considered by management to be acts of gross misconduct.
It said the action of the lecturers was not only inimical to the integrity of the university, but also undermined lawful authority.

The statement said since the affected academic staff members had contravened the provisions of the Code of Conduct for Staff, they would remain suspended until further notice.

It directed the affected staff members, who had been served letters of suspension, to hand over all university property in their possession to the Heads of their
Department.

The statement said the lecturers had also been barred from access to the university campus, especially academic areas.
