Buhari Declares 2-Day Retreat For Ministers

Nigeria’s president, Muhammadu Buhari is today Wednesday, November 4, expected to declare open a two day retreat for the ministerial designate.

Femi Adesina, the presidential spokesperson confirmed the development, adding that the retreat which would run from today through Friday, November 6, would take place at the presidential villa in Abuja, Vanguard reports.

According to him the retreat is believed to announce the inauguration of the ministers.
Just recently, President Buhari reiterated his earlier statement that some ministers will be without portfolios.

The president made this disclosure after receiving the list on Tuesday, November 3, at the presidential villa in Abuja.

The president had spoken about the possibility of some ministers who had been screened, to be without portfolios because Nigeria cannot afford to pay all of them.

In the same vein, the Senate president, Dr Bukola Saraki, has replied President Buhari’s comment over the country’s inability to pay all the screened ministerial nominees.
