This was contained in a statement issued by Niyi Ojo, the Director of Media and Publicity of the movement.
It reads:
"Our attentions have been drawn to the broadcast aired on Ekiti Radio program 'Lati Inu Aka' a newspaper review program by the duo of Biodun/ Kayode without reference to any newspaper.
The anchors claimed that Prince Adeyeye celebrated the arrest of Ekiti Government officials by EFCC and he planned with others to ground Ekiti finances.
I think a Journalist who knows his onion will not allow himself to be used as willing tool in the hand of desperate politicians. He will not lift fabricated stories from social media and broadcast same to the audience knowing fully well that it is against the ethics of journalism and broadcasting code.
The pertinent questions to ask the sponsors and the authors of the fabricated stories are: When did Adeyeye suddenly become and agent of EFCC coordinating the arrest of Ekiti officials? What purpose and interest will Adeyeye be serving to ruin a PDP government of which he is the National publicity Secretary? Why will Adeyeye not want Teacher's day celebration? The above questions have exposed the intellectual emptiness of the sponsors and authors of the piece. It stands logic on its head.
Truly Prince Adeyeye has an ambition to become the next Ekiti Governor which he is pursuing with all sense of decorum and civility. As a well educated Lawyer and Journalist, Adeyeye will not descend to the level of desperation as the miscreants wanted him to look. He believes that only God can lead while we follow. God will surely crown him as the next Governor of Ekiti state.
Adeyeye as Subeb Chairman during Engr. Segun Oni regime cleared all arrears of promotions within three months of assumption of duty. He employed over 1500 teachers, pay salaries and allowances as an when due. Organised training and seminars for teachers quarterly.
He brought the innovation of story buildings to public primary schools in Ekiti. These and many more endeared him to the teachers who daily pray and fast to have him as the next Governor because he truly loved them.
No amount of falsehood and blackmail can diminish the love people have for Prince Adeyeye in Ekiti and Nigeria at large. We will like to warn social miscreants and lies spinners on social media to be careful. OR else we shall be forced to open the can of worms. A word should be enough for the wise."
