Ronaldo won the Champions League with Real Madrid and also lifted the European Championship trophy with Portugal.
The 31-year-old finished second last year behind Neymar’s team-mate at Barcelona, Lionel Messi.
But Neymar says he will win it this time around.
“Winning titles plays a big role in the race for the Ballond’Or,” Neymar told Lance!.
“Ronaldo won the Champions League and now Euro 2016 as well. So I reckon he is in a good position.
“Plus Ronaldo is a great player. I have no qualms in saying that.”
Ronaldo won the Ballon d’Or in 2008, 2013 and 2014, with Messi taking it in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2015.
