Transfer Rumour: Riyad Mahrez Agrees £42m Arsenal Move |PoliFocus

A week after losing N'Golo Kante to Chelsea, Claudio Ranieri has sanctioned the winger's exit to the Emirates Stadium for a €50 million (£41.8m) fee.

Riyad Mahrez has agreed a €50 million (£41.8m) move to Arsenal, according to Eurosport.

The Algerian was voted PFA Premier of the Year last season after notching 17 goals and adding a further 11 assists in the league and is now on course to leave in a big-money move.

Following N'Golo Kante's £30m move to Chelsea, Claudio Ranieri insisted earlier in the week that Mahrez was happy at Leicester City as he moved to allay fears of another key player leaving.

However, the report claims Mahrez is now set to join the team Jamie Vardy rejected earlier in the summer for a fee close to what Arsene Wenger paid for Mesut Ozil three years ago. -Goal.com
