Algeria Force Nigeria To A Draw In 2018 World Cup Qualifier 7|PoliFocus

The Super Eagles of Nigeria on Friday night, November 10 completed their 2018 World Cup qualifiers with a 1-1 draw against Algeria in a tough encounter.



Nigeria had the chance to win the match, but Algeria were given a penalty at the death scored by Brahimi.

Algeria started the match aggressive after losing 3-1 in Uyo in the first tie, but the Super Eagles were calm knowing fully well that they have already qualified for the 2018 World Cup.

The first half ended goalless as both team could not find the back of the net, but Super Eagles midfielder John Ogu scored in the 62nd minute.

Nigeria defeat Algeria 1-0 in World Cup qualifier Nigeria fans were waiting for the referee to blow the final whistle before defender Abdullahi Shehu was adjudged to have fouled in which the referee gave Algeria a penalty.

Brahimi stepped forward to score the penalty for Algeria at the death as the match ended 1-1.
