I'll Go Back To Real Madrid But The Situation Is 'Complicated', Chelsea Star Alvaro Morata Insists |PoliFocus

Spanish striker, Alvaro Morata has insisted he would return to Real Madrid – but that the situation is “complicated”.

The Chelsea striker has appeared to give mixed messages over his commitment to the Premier League champions.

The Spaniard has said living in London is stressful – but that he would happily sign a ten-year deal with Antonio Conte’s side.

However, the former Bernabeu man has thrown his future into doubt once again by saying he still thinks about a return to the Spanish capital.

And he dismisses the notion he wanted to leave Real as “nonsense”.

Morata, who made his £65million move to Chelsea in the summer, told radio show El Larguero on Cadena Ser: “I felt important for Madrid but I wanted to play in the knockout stages of the Champions League.

“I told the coach I wanted to play more, to say that I wanted to go is nonsense.

“The critics do not affect me. Of course, I would return to Real Madrid but it’s complicated.”

And Morata further explained the difficulties he suffered when moving to a new country, before thanking wife Alice Campello for helping him.

He said: “When I arrived I got used to not having time to think much. At the beginning it was not all the good that was expected.

“My wife has helped me a lot. Before, when I was lost, I was locked in my thoughts.

“Now I have a calmer life [but] there is more traffic than in Madrid.

“I miss the weather but the sun rises, even if it’s [for] half an hour.”

Morata then went onto explain what it’s like working under Conte versus Zinedine Zidane.

He said: “The difference between Conte and Zidane is not so much. Conte is very passionate, he’s a winner, what you see is what you get.

“Zidane is a winner, and he does it his way.”
