No recruitment into Police Force without national ID card – DIG

The deputy inspector general, Force Criminal
Intelligence and Investigation Department (FCIID), Area 10, Mr Christopher Kakwe, has said that the force management team has decided that anybody without evidence of enrolment with the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) will not be considered for employment into the force.

Kakwe who stated this at the NIMC-BVN press
conference, held in Abuja, lauded the federal
government’s decision for other data capturing
agencies to key into the NIMC database.

He said, “We have decided at the police management team that for any recruitment, you have to show evidence that you have registered with NIMC before we can even think about screening you.

“This initiative, which the federal government has directed other agencies to key into, is very vital to our very existence as a nation”.

The AIG urged other agencies to do the same so that the nation would have specific data at the end of the day.
