Bayelsa Decides: APC replaces Oshiomhole as head of committee to conduct Bayelsa guber primary

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has replaced Gov. Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State as the chairman of the Bayelsa State gubernatorial primary election committee, reports Daily Trust.

Oshiomhole was replaced with retired Brigadier-General Mansur Dan Ali.
Alli will now supervise the conduct of a fresh gubernatorial
primary election in the state.
The election is expected to hold on Wednesday.

The previous exercise supervised by Oshiomhole was
cancelled following complaints of irregularities in the
process leading to the conduct of the election.
Oshiomhole had in his report to the national headquarters
of the APC said he was held hostage by thugs allegedly led by the former governor of Bayelsa State and one of the aspirants, Timipre Sylva.
