Ekiti State Sets To Break Record 

It is not a mere speculation again that President Muhammadu Buhari has nominated three people from Ekiti State as minister.
Before now, Ekiti do have a ministerial slot.

They are Engr. Segun Oni, a former governor of the state who is the present vice chairman, APC South, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, a former governor of the state as well, that was ousted by the incumbent governor, Mr. Ayo Fayose of PDP and Barr. Femi Falana, an human rights activist with national and international recognitions.

Below are their little profiles:
1. Engr.  Segun Oni 
Engr. Segun Oni is a first class graduate of civil engineering. One time governor of the state, he hails from Ifaki Ekiti, Ido/Osi local goverment of Ekiti, Ekiti North Senatorial district of the state.

Though the primary election that made him the candidate of PDP then was controversial but he was declared the standard bearer of the Party, this can't but be connected to the influence of the the president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo.

INEC declared him the winner of the election having satisfied the constitutional requirements. But the candidate of APC, Dr. Kayode Fayemi wasn't satisfied with the result.

He went to court and lo and behold, after using three and half years in office as governor, he was ousted by the judgement of the Ilorin Court of appeal headed by Justice Ayo Saraki.

During this reign as governor, he embarked on my feasible projects but he didn't enjoy much support from the citizens of the state.
He is presently the vice chairman South for APC.

2. Dr. Kayode Fayemi
Dr. Kayode Fayemi is an international figure. He holds P. Hd in war studies. He hails from Isan Ekiti, Oye Local Government, Ekiti North Senatorial district.

He is a one time governor of the state that was defeated by the incumbent governor, Mr Ayo Fayose.
He won the ticket under Action Congress(AC) but due to his style of leadership, he lost his re-election bid. There was a report in some quarters that his policies were too foreign.

3. Barr Femi Falana
Barr. Femi Falana is an activist with global recognitions. He is a lawyer with a difference. He runs a law firm. He is well known for his fight against the government and his support for the down trodden.

He hails from Ilawe Ekiti, Ekiti South-West  Local Government, Ekiti South Senetorialdistrict.

I am beginning to believe president Muhammadu Buhari that his appointments are based on merits because if we are to use the template what transpired during the election in Ekiti.......  These development would not come into existence.

*The incumbent governor, Ayo Fayose insults  Buhari and APC at every occasion.
*APC lost the state to PDP at the last general  elections.
