Just In: Senate Suspends Deliberations On Amendment Of Code of Conduct Act
Report reaching POLIFOCUS has it that the Senate has stopped the ongoing ignoble deliberations over the amendment of the constitutional provisionals guiding the establishment of the Code of Conduct Bureau.

It would be recalled that the upper chamber started debate of the act establishing CCB some days ago, which was not unconnected with the ongoing trial of Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki over alleged false declaration of assets.

The move which has been receiving public outcry and was seen by well-meaning Nigerians as a way of creating an escape route for the Saraki.

This withdrawal is a pointer that the hallow chamber has a listening ear.
