South-South APC to drag NASS to court over budget alteration

South-South APC to drag NASS to court over budget alteration
For altering the appropriation bill as submitted by the President, Muhammadu Buhari, the South South All Progressives Congress (APC) has threatened to drag the National Assembly lawmakers to court.

This is sequel to the removal of the Lagos-Calabar rail project from the budget passed by the federal lawmakers.

The APC members from the South South also berated the lawmakers from the geopolitical zone for being indifferent to such alteration of the budget as submitted by the President as it expressed disappointment over the Senate and House of Representatives Chairmen on Appropriation.

The zone, in a statement signed by its National Vice Chairman, Prince Hilliard Eta stated that it was high time that the powers of the National Assembly should be challenged in the court.

The APC national vice chairman warned the federal lawmakers to desist from truncating the plans of the President, Muhammadu Buhari to develop the country.
