Opinion: New Pump Price Of Petrol; Buhari Is Insensitive And Callous

The Federal Government earlier today, Wednesday announced the ignoble increase in the pump price of premium motor spirit otherwise known as petrol to N145 per litre.

This was announced by the Minister of State for Petroleum, Dr Ibe kachikwu during a stakeholders meeting in Abuja.

It would be recalled that the scarcity of the product has lingered for over five months now, which make it the longest fuel scarcity in Nigeria. We are yet to even know what it will subside.

I was shocked to watch the Kachikwu announcing the increment, it can be said without mincing words that, APC-led government has nothing to offer us than adding to our uncountable problems.

Larger percentage of Nigerians must have been regretting voting for this 'CHAIN' decorated as 'CHANGE' during the poll.

This unwarranted increment should be kicked against by all well-meaning Nigerians within and in diaspora.

My quack knowledge of government made to know that DEMOCRACY is all about people, so we can always have our say.

It is high time we #OccupyNigeria again, we once did it during the reign of ex-president Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, I believe we can still do it again.

I call on the Labour unions, Civil Society Organisations, Students Bodies among others to join this campaign.

Let us all put a stop to this nonsense and bridle Buhari and his cohorts. Nigeria is not a Banana Republic where everything goes.

Enough of beer parlour decisions! We voted them there and they must do our bidding.

If they think they can no longer alleviate our sufferings, they should voluntarily give in. Governance is all about making lives better not vice versa.

#NoToFuelIncrement
