Shocking: Woman mixes 75 sleeping tablets into husband's food so he can sleep forever

A woman in Australia has been arrested and charged with attempted murder for trying to kill her husband twice.

According to Melbourne police, 53-year-old Joanne De Bono tried to kill her husband by mixing 75 different sleeping pills in her husband’s meatballs so he can sleep forever.

Police investigations revealed that the suspect and her husband, Stephen De Bono, have been married for 25 years and have a daughter together.Joanne who was booked and charged to court for attempted murder, told the Melbourne Magistrate's Court that her husband was abusive.

The court heard how Joanne De Bono conspired with her 19-year-old daughter to put Stephen De Bono to sleep forever by mixing sleeping pills into his dinner.

The 75 sleeping pills knocked Stephen into a deep sleep but surprisingly he woke up several hours later.

Several weeks later, Joanne De Bono went into the family shed and took brake fluid, motor oil, and weed killer. 

She poured them into a bowl, and filled a long syringe with the deadly cocktail.She then waited for her husband to slip and tried to inject him with the deadly cocktail. 

She injected him with the syringe and was about to push the liquid in when Stephen De Bono woke up and asked her what she was doing.

Joanne and his daughter fled from the house immediately and confessed what they did to their relatives who swiftly called paramedics.

Stephen was rushed to the hospital, where he was treated and released.Joanne De Bono told investigators that she was the victim of continuous physical, emotional, and sexual abuse. -Radar.ng
