Opinion: Corruption List: List Without Names, Fraud In Disguise

As the nation awaits the much publicised 'Corruption List' and the total amount of money recovered by the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration since he took over power on May 29th, 2015.

Buhari some couples of weeks ago promised to make the list available on the Democracy Day, May 29th, 2016,  the day his administration celebrated first anniversary in the saddle of government.

But failed to live up to expectation as to that but mentioned it in his speech that Ministry of Information and Culture will make it available before this week runs out.

When reacting, Garba Shehu, Senior Special Adviser On Media and Publicity to President Muhammadu Buhari opined that the list will be published latest today Thursday. This he said on an interview on Channels TV on Monday.

In his reaction, Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed has said that the list will soon be published as the President has instructed but was quick to add that names of the 'looters' will not be make available due to legal advice that he sought. It will only contain the total amount of money recovered.

Base on that  premise, the much awaited list might be a charade or sham, of what purpose is a list without names?!

We Nigerians are not fools, people that run this country to this sorry case should not be shielded. We have the right to know them all.

If President Buhari really wants to fight corruption headlong, he shouldn't mind stepping on toes. Not publishing the 'Yam Eaters' names is nothing but a fraud!
