Ekiti govt conducts civil service promotional exams

The Ekiti State Government has conducted promotionalexams for members of the state civil service.

The Public Service Promotion Examination, which is said to be a pre-requisite for their elevation to subsequent levels in the workforce, had over 1,000 candidates.

Speaking during the promotion examination at the Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti, the state capital, the Head ofService, Dr. Olugbenga Faseluka, revealed that retrenchment of workers is not a panacea to the economic challenges facing the nation.

He explained that the examination is not to witch hunt anyone, but to help position the civil service institution in the state.

The Chairman, Nigeria Labour Congress, Comrade Ade Adesanmi, appealed to the state government to ensure no one fails the examination.

One of the civil servants in the state, Tomi Adejumi, commended the state government for the exam and foralso elevating the workers, both Junior and Senior Cadres in the state.

I remember when same governor castigated his immediate predecessor, Kayode Fayemi for doing same.
Nigerians politicians are set of awkward rubies.
