Kogi Swearing-in: Faleke Reiterates His Decision Not Be Be Available As Deputy Gov, Says The Happening In Kogi Is A Rape On Democracy

Hon. Abiodun Faleke
The conundrum that ensued the last governorship election in Kogi State due to the demise of Prince Abubakar Audu, the standard bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the September 21st election is far from over.

The running mate to Prince Audu, Hon. Abiodun Faleke has made his intention known that going by natural succession, he should have been declared by Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Due to the fact that the cancelled votes were less than the margin between the two leading parties, which are All Progressives Congress (APC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) but INEC's stand was different.

INEC posited that the margin was more, thereby calling for a supplementary election. Alhaji Yahaya Bello was used to replaced late Audu but this did not go well with Faleke whom he believed that he was robbed by the leadership of the party, APC.
He has said it before that he will not be available for today's swearing-in and this he reiterated earlier today in his tweets.

Read some of his tweets:

"No matter the number and calibre of people supporting it, no matter the colouring given to it, injustice will never prevail over justice".

"For those of you asking me if I will be in Lokoja 2maro, I maintain my early position that I will not be available to deputise  Bello".

"Audu/Faleke ticket won the November 21st governorship election in Kogi State and on that mandate we stand".

"What is happening in Kogi State is a rape on our democracy and I want the international community to take note".

"Fellow kogites, I have it on good authority that the authors of Impunity in APC are at it again in Kogi State".

"and after which it will be seen as if I declined and the judge will then move on to call Yahaya Bello for inauguration".

"Let it be known that I was never the running mate to Yahaya Bello and INEC had accepted the fact in its reply to my petition".

"I urge all our supporters to remain calm as justice will prevail. God is the greatest and He gives power and take it at anytime".

"Those who are morally corrupt cannot continue to lead a party of change in our country".

"The leadership of the party must be changed to assist PMB to deliver on his programs of rescuing the country. Moral corruption is worst".
