Opinion: Much Ado About The Breakup Of PSquare

Psquare Okoye and Jude Okoye
PSquare & Brother, Jude Okoye
The much rumoured breakup of the biological twins duo, Peter and Paul Okoye has been flooding the news in recent weeks.

The super talented singers have been battling with so many things of resent. Though the ugly scenario was taking to Twitter by Peter, who ranted the poor managerial acumen of their brother, who doubles as their manager, Jude Okoye.

Okoye's family can be said to be the most musically blessed household in Nigeria entertainment world, in that both the singers and the producer are all of same parent.

It will be recalled that since Peter got married to his long time lover and baby mama, lola, many unpalatable news have been coming out of the PSquare's family.

His elder brother, who equally stand as their producer shunned the much publicised wedding which was attended by the creme la creme of the society.

Analysing only that, one might not be unsure that things are not in order. An insider made it known that Jude decided to shun the wedding due to the position of their late mum that stood in deference to Peter's choice of wife, even with two kids for him already.
However, his twin brother, Paul was physical present at the event.

Be that as it may, we all know that contracts always have terminal dates but it shouldn't have existed in an household.

Though there have been series of denials from the singers and brother and also from their publicists.

But the rumour was confirmed by Peter Okoye over the weekend as he performed solo, he presented himself as "Mr P'.

This has laid to rest the rumour, yesterday, Paul released a solo track where he wrote an open letter to their late parent, in the track he related all the happenings to them.

He was crying all through the track and was an opinion that if their parents were to be alive, that things will not degenerate to this state.

He titled it "Call Heaven". With this development, PSquare might ceased to exist.

I wish them well.
