The 30-year-old man identified as Aaron Ackah was arrested by plain cloth detectives minutes after saying his vow and was about to exchange rings with his bride, Rebecca Buah.
The wedding which was happening at at the AldersgateMethodist Church in the Sekondi/Takoradi Metropolis in Ghana, on Saturday, April 2, 2016, was ruined after his victim and the police crashed it.
The groom was arrested for his involvement in a robbery that took place at Aniamote, a community in the Wassa Amenfi District in the Western region.
Ackah allegedly stabbed a Chinese miner and robbed him of Gh¢18,000 (over N900, 000).A civilian, who led the police to the wedding venue, identified the groom and he was whisked away after the police confirmed his identity from wedding invitations.
The excitement of the day went sour immediately with the bride fainting and going into shock.
