Fayose VS Ecobank: Fayose Finally Shutdowns Ecobank Branches In Ado-Ekiti

The melee between the executive governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose and the management of Ecobank has degenerated to the bank shutting down its branches in the state capital.

It will be recalled that Fayose earlier in the year issued a circular to the workers in its payroll to withdraw their salary accounts from the embattled bank.

It was also in the news last week that the bank's branches were under lock and keys.

The bank has decided to shutdown the Secretariat road and Ejigbo/Ajilosun branches and relocate them to Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti (EKSU).

This was contained in a release by the bank.

The statement reads in parts:

"We wish to inform you that due to circumstances beyond our control our Ado Ekiti branches located at No 33 Secretariat road and Ejigbo road, Ado Ekiti have temporarily relocated to our branch at the University of Ado-Ekiti (UNAD). The ATM of branches are also not available for use."
