Benin Clergyman Apostle Psalm Okpe Finally Opens Up On Lady Singer Found Bed In His Bed |PoliFocus

Fresh Oil Ministry founder Apostle Psalm Okpe has finally spoken about allegations he murdered gospel singer Yvonne Omoarebokhae who died in his hotel room earlier this year when they were apparently having an extra-marital romp, Nigerian Watch reports.
On April 8, Mrs Omoarebokhae died in a hotel room she was sharing with the preacher in Benin, the Edo capital while they were on a church engagement.

Apostle Okpe, who was detained for weeks by the police as a result, has been accused by Mrs Omoarebokhae's husband of poisoning her wife.

However, the outspoken preacher was later released without charge when the autopsy revealed that the ladydied of heart failure.

Pointing out that the medical report vindicated him, Apostle Okpe denied they were having an affair, saying that he only let her share his hotel room because she had nowhere else to stay.

Apostle Okpe added: “It so happened that rumours were flying about and people have not taken time to ask for my own side of the story, so, I want to use this opportunity to address the issue.

On March 18, this year, this lady, Yvonne, sent me a message, saying she wanted to join the conference and I asked her if we had met before and she no, but that she was one of my fans on Facebook."

He added that he offered to let her use his hotel room in Benin when he went for a conference and in the morning when he came back, she was found dead in bed.

He added that he did not sleep in his hotel room that night and it was the hotel staff who opened the door to let him in where he found the dead lady in his bed.

"We were just trying to build father-daughter relationship spiritually but unfortunately, that was whathappened.

One of the best pathologists in Nigeria did the autopsy and at the end of the day, they found out that the woman died of heart failure."

It was also shown that she had no poison in her body and for the first time, I got convinced that the police are really working because they stood on the ground of justice and it was vividly clear.

I want to use this opportunity to thank the Nigeria Police and I am really proud of them," Apostle Okpe added.
