Edo Guber: INEC Begins Voter Education Exercise |PoliFocus

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Monday, commenced its voter education exercise ahead of the September 10 Edo State governorship election.


Addressing the various political parties and other relevant stakeholders on the  topic: “Voter Education Strategies For Edo State Governorship Election” in Benin City, the  Electoral Officer in charge of Oredo Local Government Area ofthe state, Mr. Samuel Udezi said the exercise was geared towards educating them on what they are expected to see on the field on the  day of election.

He told the participants that some of the rules of the electoral processwhich they have to abide to are “no permanent voters card, no voting, no voting by proxy; only voters who presented themselves physically at the polling units where they registered will be accredited and allowed to vote and if their names are not in the register, they cannot also vote”.
