Rio 2016: Nigeria Breaks Another Record In Rio Paralympics |PoliFocus

Nigeria has moved up in the overall medals table at the Rio 2016 Paralympics as it now occupies the 9th position on the table so far.


Omolayo Bose is the latest to win gold medal for Nigeria after shattering the Paralympics and world record in the -79 kg category.

She became the second Nigerian to break recordsin her event after team Nigeria’s captain Lucy Ejike also smashed world and Paralympics records for the third time successively in her event.

Nwosu Ndidi also beat France and Egypt in the 73kg category of the women’s power lifting on Monday bring the medals tally to 9 So far for team Nigeria with 6 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze.

What able-bodied couldn't do!
