Seven Killed, Nine Others Declared Missing After A Massive Flood Wrecked Havoc In Eastern China's Fujian Province |PoliFocus

At least seven people have been killed and nine others are missing in eastern China's Fujian Province, after Meranti, the largest typhoon so far this year, lashed the region, CCTV reports.


By Friday morning, 331,000 people had been forced to relocate as the extraordinary rainstorms destroyed 1,600 houses.

The direct economic losses are currently estimated at 1.6 billion yuan, or US $249 million.
