Edo Guber: Build On Oshiomhole's Legacy, Atiku Tells Obaseki |PoliFocus

Alhaji Atiku Abubakar
Former Vice President and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, while congratulating the party’s candidate in Wednesday’s governorship election and Governor-Elect, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, on his victory, urges him to build on the legacy of Governor Adams Oshiomhole.

In a press statement by his Media Office in Abuja yesterday, Atiku described Obaseki’s victory as well deserved, saying it is an indication of how impactful Oshiomhole’s administration is.

According to the Turakin Adamawa, the fact that the APC was able to record such a resounding victory at a time of economic recession and uncertainty caused by years of poor planning and neglect of the past is a clear manifestation that the people of Edo State and indeed all Nigerians believe in the capacity of the party to get the country out of the present economic predicament, using transparency in governance and anti-corruption as principles of government.

Atiku said Obaseki’s close association with Oshiomhole’s achievements is another reason for the election victory.

He advised Obaseki not to disappoint the people, but to improve on his famed economic planning and management wizardry that earned him the victory and fulfill his promise of making Edo a more productive andprosperous state, where the people can easily access the basic and good things of life.
