A woman working in a service station in Australia had a lucky escape when a car smashed though the window and narrowly missed her

CCTV cameras captured the moment the out of control Toyota Camry burst through the front of a BP garage in Belfield, Sydney.

The footage shows a woman hitting the ground just centimetres away from the car as it appears, before she stands backs up and walks away apparently unhurt.

Service station owner Diab Diab told Australia's Sunday Telegraph: "We hear bang, bang - a big bang, you know? We look that way and saw a car inside.

"We have to run away before something blow up. Lucky, (my wife) was by the counter, I was working. If I moved another one metre, I’d be finished," he said.

Three people inside the car were treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.

Fire and Rescue NSW made safe a gas leak caused by the crash.

Police are investigating whether the crash was caused by negligent driving.
