World's Oldest Man Dies At 112

Yasutaro Koide, a Japanese, aged 112, who ​wa​s officially recognized as the oldest living man by Guinness World Records​,​ is dead.

A report from Tokyo said that Mr. Koide, who washospitalised in the central city of Nagoya, died from chronic heart failure.

He was born in 1903, the year the Wright Brothersbuilt the first successful aeroplane, and worked as tailor in the western Japanese city of Tsuruga.

The report said in 2015, the number of centenarians surpassed 60,000 for the first time in Japan, one of the world’s top countries for longevity.
