Kadiri Ikhana Joins Shooting Stars

Shooting Stars have confirmed Kadiri Ikhana as their new coach, ahead of the 2016/2017 season.

The former Enyimba boss, replaces Gbenga Ogunbote, who has joined Giwa FC.

Ikhana won the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) with Enyimba last season, but his deal was not renewed.

Shooting Stars General Manager, Raheed Balogun, expressed his delight at capturing the veteran coach.“Ikhana is a well known coach. 

He has experience of the domestic league and has proven track record,” he told CompleteSports.

“He did it at Enyimba and Kano Pillars and it is our expectation he can do same here.”On his part, Ikhana vowed to return the Ibadan outfit to its place, as one of the best clubs around.

“I’m happy to be part of this club at this time,” he stated.

“3SC is one of the biggest clubs in Nigeria and Africa and it is my hope for us to return the club to its enviable position.”
