Opinion: Do Ekiti People Need Only N500 And A 'Rubber' Of Rice? (Photos)

Governor Ayodele Fayose distributing rice
I have been trying my best to ignore the happenings in my state, Ekiti State at the moment but I'm left with no choice than to make my position known.

It is lugubrious to see Ekitipiticus that were known to be people with honour and integrity turning to corporate 'beggars' by the day.

Don't quote me out of context, I'm not of the opinion that giving out hampers during festive season is a bad idea but the a governor of a state should step up his game and do more in term of creation of jobs and provision of basic and social infrastructures.

His Excellency, Ayodele Fayose should stop giving people of the state fishes. It saddens my soul to see my people queuing for a rubber of rice and N500!

Though we all know that hunger is not good but will the so-called gift take them for 24 hours? Or that the distribution will be done on daily basis? I don't need any professor to analyse it for me, the answer is hell NO.

The present people at the helm of affairs should stop labelling Ekiti people as beggars.. We aren't.

We are people with honour. We believe in hustling than staying on the highway to beg for arms.

This 'rice' poli-trick should stop. Even the 'STOMACH INFRASTRUCTURE' is irritating. We aren't FFOs!

See the Special Adviser to Governor Fayose, Lere Olayinka sharing rice to people, this he made known using his Twitter handle.

A friend civil servant told me that he hasn't received salary this year, it means that the governor is owning backlog of three months salaries if my quack knowledge of mathematics will not fail me on it.

This hypocrisy should stop, better Ekiti is possible.... It begins with you and I.
