Boko Haram Fundamentalist Attack Leaves 18 Dead, Scores Injured In Adamawa

At least 18 people were killed and scores injured when Boko Haram militants attacked a village in Adamawa State on Thursday night, a security source said.

Sahara Reporters reports that the militants stormed the remote village of Kuda near Madagali town in Adamawa State at about 10 PM on Thursday night and opened fire on people, killing no fewer than 18 villagers and injuring scores more.

A security source who is not authorized to speak to reporters at Madagali told SaharaReporters by phone that the suspected insurgents came from the direction of Isge village in Gwoza local government area (LGA) of Borno State.

"We have received distress calls from people in Kuda village over last night. Insurgents killed 18 people before attacking several houses where they looted and carted away foodstuff," the source said.

Madagali village was one of the villages that suffered a series of attacks by militants before it was liberated from insurgents before last general election in 2015.
