Abia: Court Stops Uche Ogah's Swearing-in Until Appeal Decision |PoliFocus

A Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered stay of execution of judgement sacking Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State.

Justice Okon Abang yesterday ruled that it would be in the interest of justice for the pending applications to be decided by the Appeal Court.

Justice Abang also refused to set aside an injunction from an Abia High Court in Osisioma restraining the Chief Judge of the State from swearing-in Uchechukwu Ogah.

It would be recalled that an high court last week sacked the incumbent governor of the state, Ikpeazu citing his falsification of tax clearance certificate that he used to run for the election as governor.
