Abia Political Leaders Condemn Court’s Ruling On Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu |PoliFocus

Some prominent political leaders and traditional rulers in Abia State have condemned as perverse, and reckless, the recent judgment given by Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court in Abuja, Channels TV reports.
The judge in his ruling, asked the sitting governor of the state, Mr Okezie Ikpeazu to vacate his seat.

The elder statesmen, led by a former governorship candidate in Abia State, Mr Onyema Ugochukwu, are also criticizing the decision by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to issue a Certificate of Returnto the main challenger in the PDP primaries of April 2015, Mr Samson Ogah.

Mr Ugochukwu said the leaders are concerned that the court ruling, which has thrown the state into uncertainty and confusion, might snowball into full scale unrest if the situation, which they tagged a conspiracy involving INEC to throw the state into anarchy, is not halted.
