Power Of Social Media: Ebonyi Police Condemns Torture Of Teenage Girl |PoliFocus

The Ebonyi State Police Command has condemned in strong terms the recent actions by some men including three police officials who were reported to have allegedly tortured and assaulted a teenage girl.

The 15-year-old is a native of Umunaga village in Ohaozara Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, southeast Nigeria.

The Commissioner of Police, Peace Abdallah, briefed reporters on the assault at the command headquarters in Abakaliki, the state capital.

He disclosed that the girl was recorded while naked, whipped with cables and canes and posted on social media.

The Police Commissioner vowed to ensure adequate prosecution of all persons involved in the dastardly act, saying that no group or person is above the law.

He also paraded a suspected child trafficking syndicate who specialises in stealing babies in Ebonyi State and move them to Asaba, the Delta State capital to sell.
