Rio 2016: Team GB Wins Olympic Silver In Canoeing |PoliFocus

British canoeists David Florence and Richard Hounslow have claimed their second successive Olympic silver medal in the men's C2 category.


The Team GB pair finished behind Slovakian cousins Ladislav and Peter Skantar in the final at Rio's Whitewater Stadium.

The display capped an impressive recoveryfor Florence, who finished a disappointing 10th place in the men's C1 final on Tuesday.

It is the second medal for the canoe slalomteam afterkayaker Joe Clarke's gold in the men's K1 category on Wednesday.Florence and Hounslow also took silver in the London Games in 2012.

It is the second silver in Rio for Team GB onday six after rowers Katherine Grainger andVictoria Thornley were second in the women's double sculls.
