Stop Helping The Devil By Femi Odebowale |PoliFocus

From Genesis To Revelation, two weapons were prominently talked about, Sin And Grace. Yes,  I choose to see both as weapons. Satan uses sin as his major weapon to destroy while God uses Grace as His weapon to restore

I think of it this way, with more knowledge of a weapon comes more skill, also greater awareness follows what is consistently taught and repeated
As an educator, I know the principle of repetition, your focus of learning becomes the environment of your heart.

Initially, have always seen a balanced message as 90% sin centred and 10% grace centred (we felt we must not teach this Grace too much)....

But really as I pause to check the life of Christ and the core of His lived and Preached messages, I would rather change it to sin 10: 90 Grace!  The latter looks more like a balanced diet to me.

If teaching people about sin and it's consequences really makes them a better person, Nigeria should by far be a better place but I realized that the more we exalt the power of sin above the power of Grace , the more powerless we make grace" look " and to see it as powerless is to have it as powerless .

To emphasize sin above Grace to make sin appear more powerful than it is... To behold it as powerful is to have it as powerful

Have studied the life of Christ, the way He offered salvation to the cruelest of a willing sinner... It intoxicates me with God's grace, sin melts at the slightest acceptability of Grace

We need to understand the concept of Grace awareness in the right context!  It seems we have helped the devil enough. We took his weapon and published it so much from a platform provided by Grace!  This is pure cheating !

Believers know so much what sin can do but we hardly know what Grace has done, is doing and capable of doing . Am not arguing,  sin is destructive but if we can't teach how much more extremely powerful Grace is... Then we have no message.

I remembered how have taught and will still teach the cancerous nature of sin but I regretted how many times, I presented sin as the ruling king that calls the shot and Grace as the servant trying to stop it!

Really the exact is the truth....Grace is the king calling the shots... Sin is only trying to stop your Grace and it can't if you put the weapon to use in prayers and honest humility.

Grace awareness is what makes us better Christians not sin awareness. You wonder how? The former makes sin a cockroach to thread on, the latter makes sin an impossible mountain to climb . Be blessed!
