Chris Brown Arrested After An 11-hour Stand-off With Cops At His LA Mansion |PoliFocus

Singer Chris Brown has been arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon after he was involved in an 11-hour stand-off with copsat his LA mansion.

According to reports police were called to the £3 million property by beauty queen Baylee Curran, who alleges the star pointed a weapon at her.


Brown allegedly shouted “come and get me” and threw a bag containing guns, drugs and other weapons out of a window.

He is said to have barricaded himself in his home,only surrendering after cops got a search warrant.

Authorities say he was arrested and taken to a police station in downtown Los Angeles.

According to Los Angeles County jail records, the pop star was released from custody at around 11:15 p.m local time after posting $250,000 bail.

Cops interviewed and patted down about half a dozen other people at the property.

The charge of assault with a deadly weapon could lead to four years in prison. Brown posted a series of ranting videos online about harassment after police surrounded the property.

According to TMZ, the stand-off was sparked by a 911 call at around 3am on Tuesday in which Curran claimed she was admiring a piece of jewellery when Brown and a friend "went nuts."Curran, the winner of Miss California Regional 2016, alleges the singer demanded she "get the f*** out" and pointed a gun at her.

She told the site Brown appeared to be "out of it" on "drugs or alcohol."Cops recovered a duffel bag with at least one gun, other weapons and drugs, when the star, 27, threw it out of the window.

According to one neighbour, who spoke toabc7, screams were heard in the early hours of the morning.

The man, known only as Isaac said: "It was about 3.30am in the morning I heard something...'help, help' and screams."He added he lived quite far from the property.

Cops were outside the property as they waited fora search warrant to get inside, after Brown refused to respond to their requests to open the door.

At 12.30pm on Wednesday the rapper's attorney Mark Geragos arrived at the house, and it was thought the star was going to surrender to the police.
