The court heard how Abdelkarim filmed himself on his phone cutting the ears and noses off the bodies of enemy fighters in Allepo.
It is claimed that the alleged extremist also fired bullets into the heads of corpses and also kicked them around like footballs.
The suspected ISIS fanatic was arrested in February 2014 after he left war torn Syria for Turkey.
Upon his release a year later he was detained again when he returned to Germany in February 2015.
