Manchester City Complete Signing Of Leroy Sane From Schalke |PoliFocus

Manchester City have signed Germany international Leroy Sane from Schalke for an undisclosed fee.

Sane, 20, has been Pep Guardiola’s top attacking targetthis summer and the new City boss has finally secured him on a five-year deal.

It was gathered that City will pay £37m, with reports that performance-related add-ons could eventually take the total cost up to £46.5m.

Sane could make his City debut in the preseason friendly against Arsenal in Gothenburg on Sunday.

He has been capped four times by Germany and is considered to be one of the most exciting young prospects in Europe.

“I feel really good, I’m happy to be here and happy that it has all worked out,” Sane told Man City’s official website.

“Now I can settle here in Manchester and play for City.“One of the reasons I decided to join City was Pep Guardiola; he convinced me to come here and that I can continue to progress. I know I will learn a lot under him and now I can take the next step in my career.

“I followed Pep at Barcelona and at Bayern where he achieved a lot and worked really well with young players.

“I think he can make me a more complete player. I thinkI will need a bit of time to start with because it’s another league and there’s a different style of play but Ithink I can adapt very quickly.”
