Turkish Giants, Galatasaray Hand Debut To 14-Year-Old Mustafa Kapi |PoliFocus

The teenager, who has played for the Turkish club's academy for three years and only turned 14 in August, came on for the first team in a friendly against Levski Sofia.

According to a report by Goal.com, Galatasaray handed a debut to 14-year-old Mustafa Kapi in their friendly against Levski Sofiaon Saturday.

With a number of first-team players away on international duty, the Turkish giants travelled to Bulgaria for an exhibition game to keep up their match fitness.

Galatasaray coach Jan Olde Riekerink also took the opportunity to blood some of the younger members of his squad - though no one quite expected him to field a teenager born in 2002.

Kapi only turned 14 in August and has played for Galatasaray's academy for three years since signing from Denizlispor, his hometown team.

And after coming on in Sofia, he shared a touching moment with Riekerink by finding the coach after the final whistle to thank him for handing him his debut with a hug.
