Maternity Ward Fire Leaves 25 Dead 107 Injured In Saudi Arabia

A fire at a hospital in Saudi Arabia has killed 25 people and injured 107, the country's civil defence agency said.
The fire at the Jazan General Hospital, in the south of the country, began on the first floor in the intensive care unit and the maternity ward.

The injured had been transferred to private and general hospitals in the area, it added.

Photographs published on Twitter showed intense black smoke and blaze which appeared to have severely damaged the interior of the three-storey hospital.

An investigation is under way.
