On Nnamdi Kanu’s Continued Detention

Nnamdi Kanu, Biafra Radio's Director
The release of Nnamdi Kanu, the Director of Radio Biafra by two courts in Nigeria last week flooded the news.

But to my greatest dismay, he is still in detention as I write now, should we say that the law has no place again?

Judiciary is said to be the last hope of a common man, as it changed?

Or that some people are above the law? Common! Every office holder in Nigeria must have sworn to protect and respect the constitution of the Federal Republic.

If at all, another charge is to be arranged, the pronouncement of the court should be respected.

Nigeria before now has been sitting on a keg of a gun powder that may explode any time.

This ignoble act may trigger avoidable lawlessness in the Eastern part of Nigeria.

I'm not from the East but the fact must be told, enough of these lawlessness by our people at the helms of affairs.

Earlier today, Nigeria Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) increased tarrif of electricity as against the position of the House of Representatives.

House of Representatives on Friday directed that status quo should be maintained as regards the increment, until all matters before it be resolved.

But NERC went ahead and make the announcement of the increment! Is Nigeria not working towards a banana republic, where everything goes?
