Principal Officers In NASS Should Bow Their Heads In Shame Over Missing 2016 Budget - PoliFocus

I was flabbergasted when the news of the missing budget filtered into my ears, not only because I'm a Nigerian but because it is an international embarrassment to the nation and also the international communities.

The budget which was presented personally by the President, Muhammadu Buhari at the joint session of the National Assembly Members  on 22nd of December, 2015.

The news has it that both the hard and soft copies are missing at the moment.

How on earth can this possible, documents that are in more than 100 copies....missing!!!!!

If a blind man can describe the grave of one's father, then it is a thing to lose sleep on.

This issue should not be swept under the carpet, we need to get to the root of this matter.

If a thieve can leave Bureau the Change, commercial banks, Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) but decided to invade National Assembly for the budget of a whole nation..... It is a very serious case. Dead body don get accident ye pa!!!!!!!!!!

All the principal officers of the NASS should trekk the path of honour by voluntary resigning their positions.

This is uncalled for and unacceptable. It means Aso Villa can be declared missing tomorrow... What a shame!!

Shame to every member of the House and most especially people that the documents were handed over to.

Though I will be the last Nigerian that will believe in this 'James Bond-like' story.

As a computer scientist, if a document is given to you in soft copy, the first thing you do is to download it on your device.

Even if the hardcopies are stolen, soft should be seen. There is a power play presently.

You can officially retrieve the documents if there is need to edit them, than taking us for a fool.

But claiming that everything was stolen is primitive, utopia and satanic. Oh! What a shame!!!!!

Nigerians are smarter to fall for this silly cum cheap trick.

I read the Tweet of the Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on information, Garba Shehu.  He exonerated the presidency.

He claimed that since it has been presented to the NASS, that any question bothering on the present state of the document should be directed to the leadership of the NASS.

For real, I concur with his submission.... If this is not found and the smart players not brought to book, the current members of the national assembly will not enjoy the support of we Nigerians again.

God bless my country.
