#BringBackOurGirls: DSS Reunites Released 21 Chibok Girls With Their Parents In Abuja |PoliFocus

The Department of State Services, DSS, on Sunday reunited the 21 released Chibok girls with their parents after over two years in Boko Haram captivity.

It was all tears as the parents of the girls reunited with their daughters at the DSS health facility in Abuja.

Recall that the insurgent group had in 2014 abducted over 200 girls from Chibok, Borno State and last week Thursday, the group released 21 of the girls.

Reports however emerged this morning that the group was ready to release more of the girls, only if its demand are met.

Following the release of the girls, there have been several claims of behind the scene moves that led to their freedom.

Senator representing Kaduna Central District, Shehu Sani, claimed he drafted the master plan that led to the release of the girls.

Also, a media platform, the United Kingdom Bussines Times, IBTimes, claimed that the government of Switzerland, International Red Cross Society and a Borno based lawyer negotiated the release of the 21 girl.

However, reports in certain quarters says the girls werereleased following a swap deal of some Boko Haram Commanders.

The government had denied the reports, saying the girlswere released unconditionally. -Today.ng
